Sarah Rice

Sarah took her first Bikram yoga class on April 30, 2008 and has practiced regularly ever since. Throughout the course of her practice, Sarah has received the physical benefits of added strength, flexibility, and balance, and has spent the last decade virtually illness and injury free. She has experienced the mental benefits of clarity, patience, and determination, with an increased ability to observe and contemplate rather than feeling the need to always react immediately to life’s challenges. And she greatly appreciates the emotional benefits of the practice such as a greater sense of overall well-being, which positively affects all relationships, including with oneself.

Sarah attended Bikram Yoga Teacher Training Fall 2015 in Thailand with the intention of assisting others in accessing such benefits. After joining Lilly Koken in founding Pure Sweat – Bikram Method Yoga in January 2017, Sarah co-ran and taught at the studio for one year. In January 2018, Lilly transitioned to full ownership while Sarah happily continues to teach at the studio and also increases her involvement with her husband’s environmentally and socially responsible small business (Sunbeam Candles).

Sarah believes this practice facilitates the prevention and treatment of physical or mental/emotional maladies by keeping the body and mind strong, agile, and rejuvenated. She looks forward to sharing these benefits with you as both instructor and fellow practitioner!
